Your love delights me not awards sorrow,

150
Your love delights me not awards sorrow,
Like a summer day. No way to escape,
From woes none can peace borrow?
You always my wills before me rape.
Grieves are life part but a love grief,
O Lady is more painful than pain,
Mean nature does this my words I brief,
Enemies do nothing willful wills are slain.
If you bear grieves you sooner refine
Your wisdom it sharpens your duller wit
Love sorrows more pretty all words define,
The first day was written in the lover’s writ.

Love sorrows teach me this pretty lesson,
Lose your wisdom, control your passion.
