You read my verse: a tale of woe,
111
You read my verse: a tale of woe,
My love does make a null of you,
Falling in troubles stops blood flow,
Now wishes die and in vain are rue.
I trust in you my poor heart blunder,
On the way leaving alone you veer,
I know not why you my love plunder,
Now all day eyes issue blood tear.
Nothing lays in love a beauty trick
To befool the witless entirely blind,
An evil face is kept in cosmetic rick,
Hate you more to your money kind.
You cannot find love but a lovely face,
Do roam on earth honey love to trace.
