My Swan has gone to sleep on her soft bed,
225
My Swan has gone to sleep on her soft bed,
I alone sitting in window heavy rain falling;
I see her face in vision and I myself to said,
She slept like the dead why you her calling
Then an echo comes out of my poor heart
Who listens to the voice in sleep noise?
My Swan has slept turning turtle love cart,
But happy, forever happy my pretty choice,
If you were me you see my sweet Swan,
How the lover spends night with weeping eyes;
Counts the night stars waiting for the dawn.
And all night the birds listen to my hear cries.
O my Cupid, awake, see what does silence expose?
Darkness: love soul, you leaving me O happy rose
