When I think to my love I am a traitor,
166
When I think to my love I am a traitor,
Traitor breeds’ traitor is a natural law,
I betray you, you betray your Creator,
I think o poor love your love is raw.
My muse teaches who makes you so,
Her false smiles warn my sunken eyes,
My love failure written on the white brow,
When I know love my false love dies.
O my poor love, give me what you had,
Just hate you've but I give you in return,
The heavenly pleasure I call myself mad,
Alas! I do not give you luck what I learn.
For mighty hearts a trap your false smile,
Your cunning is thief your cheeks beguile.
